Story By: BRETT DEYO / GEORGETOWN SPEEDWAY – GEORGETOWN, DE – The renovated Georgetown Speedway returns to NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series competition this Friday, Sept. 8 presented by Northeastern Supply and Millman’s NAPA Auto Parts.
United Racing Club (URC) 360 Sprint Cars take on the progressively banked oval for their first 2023 appearance at Georgetown.
Millman’s NAPA Auto Parts Modifieds return with a 25-lap, $3,000-to-win main event plus the First State Chevrolet RUSH Late Models, Southern Delaware Vintage Stock Cars, Little Lincolns and Delmarva Chargers.
Following the ‘Blast at the Beach’ event on Aug. 29, Neshanic Station, N.J.’s Ryan Krachun leads the Modified standings by 10 points over Ryan Godown of Ringoes, N.J. Danny Bouc of Pipersville, Pa., is third, just 13 markers out of the lead. Billy Pauch Jr. of Frenchtown, N.J., and Matt Stangle of Neshanic, N.J., complete the top-five, 23 and 26 points out of the top spot, respectively.
Trevor Collins of Seaford, Del., holds a commanding 60-point advantage on Matt Hill of Georgetown, Del., in the First State Chevrolet RUSH Late Models.
Pit gates open at 4 p.m. on Friday, with grandstand gates unlocked at 5 p.m. Hot laps hit the track at 6:20 p.m. and racing gets underway at 7:15 p.m.
Adult grandstand admission is $25. Seniors (ages 65 and up) and Students (ages 13-17) pay $20. Kids (ages 9-12) pay $10 and Children 8 and under are FREE.
Pit admission is $40 (Non-Members), $35 (NASCAR Members), $10 for Kids (ages 6-12) and $2 for Children ages 5 and under.
