Kyle Larson Takes Night One Of USAC Midget Hangtown 100 Friday At Placerville Speedway

Information By: RICHIE MURRAY / USAC – PLACERVILLE, CA – Kyle Larson captured night #1 of the Hangtown 100 at Placerville Speedway Friday night.
Larson scored a non-stop USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget victory over Logan Seavey, Buddy Kofoid, Jade Avedisian & Taylor Reimer.
Seavey led the opening five laps & finished as the runner-up. The National Midget point leader is now one step closer to clinching the title. In his past 19 series starts, he owns 19 top-tens & 18 top-five finishes.
Kofoid took a fine third place finish Friday. While the result did end his two-race winning streak with the USAC National Midgets at Placerville, he did continue another impressive run. He’s now finished on the podium in each of his last five Hangtown 100 starts dating back to 2021.
In a race that lasted just six minutes, 14.69 seconds, you had to be up on the wheel from the get-go. In that time frame, Jade Avedisian was the biggest mover, advancing from 12th to finish fourth and score the Hard Charger award.
