Story By: NICK GRAZIANO / DIRTCAR – CONCORD, NC – Super DIRT Week is bringing the racing action a day earlier in 2024 with on-track action moved up a day at Oswego Speedway, meaning the Billy Whittaker Cars 200 will now be a Saturday night spectacular.
The week, Oct. 7-12, will still see the best drivers from around the region, and beyond, compete with the Super DIRTcar Series, DIRTcar 358 Modifieds, DIRTcar Sportsman and DIRTcar Pro Stocks.
Early camper load starts the week on Sunday (Oct. 6) with the annual Kick Off Party that night at Lighthouse Lanes. Racing action will now commence with Time Trials and Qualifying Heats on Wednesday (for the DIRTcar 358 Modifieds and DIRTcar Pro Stocks) and Thursday (for the Super DIRTcar Series and DIRTcar Sportsman).
Then, the headlining races for the week will be under the lights on Friday and Saturday. The DIRTcar 358 Modified Salute to the Troops 150 and DIRTcar Pro Stock 50 will be on Friday (Oct. 11) and the Super DIRTcar Series Billy Whittaker Cars 200 and DIRTcar Sportsman Chevrolet Performance 75 will be on Saturday (Oct. 12). Sunday will be the rain date.
The marquee Big Block Modified event has previously been held on Saturday twice in its 51-year history, but only due to weather delays. This year, Mother Nature pushed the ‘200’ to Monday for the first time.
More details on the full schedule will be announced at a later date.
Tickets for Super DIRT Week 52 go on sale Friday, Nov. 24.
