Hank Davis Tops ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints Opener At North Alabama Speedway

Story By: BRYAN HULBERT / ASCS – TUSCUMBIA, AL – Making the trip from Oklahoma worth the miles, Hank Davis parked the Oklahoma Chiller No. 1H on the front stretch with the ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints at North Alabama Speedway.
Collecting $2,000 for his efforts, the win is Hank’s first visit to Victory Lane this season, and his first with the series.
To the lead from the start, the Sand Springs native was challenged twice, with Sammy Swindell up first to take the lead on laps five and six. Back to the point on Lap 7, Dale Howard, from ninth, would make his presence known as he raced by to lead Lap 15, but a slip off the back stretch would allow Hank to reclaim the top spot.
Putting Tennessee’s Landon Britt in the hunt, the No. 10 would end up settling for a seventh to second run. Ohio’s Max Stambaugh rolled tenth to third, followed by Dale Howard from ninth. Mississippi’s Brad Bowden made up the top five.
Zach Pringle, Chase Howard, Jan Howard, Sammy Swindell, and Brandon Blenden completed the top ten.
The ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints are back at North Alabama Speedway on Saturday, April 6. Gates open at 5:00 P.M. with cars on track at 7:00 P.M. (CDT). Grandstands are $20 for adults and free for kids ten and under. Pits are $40 for adults, $20 for youth (6-11), and free for kids five and under.
