Georgetown Returns Thursday With Summer Thunder, Featuring Mods & Super Late Models

Story By: BRETT DEYO / GEORGETOWN SPEEDWAY – GEORGETOWN, DE – Back in action. Historic Georgetown Speedway returns to action with a ‘Summer Thunder’ event this Thursday, June 27 featuring a pair of headline divisions.
Millman’s NAPA Auto Parts Modifieds compete for a $3,960 top prize, running 33 laps in memory of the late Deron Rust. Stockley Speed & Supply Super Late Models return for a 25-lap, $3,000-to-win event.
Also in competition: Blue Hen Dispose-All Crate 602 Sportsman (20 laps, $1,396 to win), Southern Delaware Vintage Stock Cars, Delaware Super Trucks and Feebs Distilling Delmarva Chargers.
Pit Gates open at 4 p.m., with grandstand gates unlocked at 5 p.m., hot laps at 6:45 p.m. and racing at 7:30 p.m.
Grandstand admission is $25 (Adults), $20 (Seniors ages 65 and above) & Students (ages 13-17), $10 for Kids (ages 9-12) and Children ages 8 and under are FREE.
Pit admission is $40 (ages 13 and up), $10 for Kids (ages 6-12) and $2 for Children (ages 5 and under).
