On Saturday at the Pioneer Pole Buildings Motorsport Race Car & Trade Show within minutes of the family arriving for a autograph signing and merchandise sale there was a line of 50 people deep.
Mandee, Barbara, Billy Jr. and Billy Pauch III, and Billy Pauch Sr. are all in demand from the fans. Bob Greene’s Pioneer Pole Building Booth was front and center at the Show and Pauch Sr and Jr.’s new 2022x Bicknell Cars were right there as fans entered the show.
Billy Jr. is one of the best drivers for making time to talk with fans and the media about his racing plans. On Saturday prior to his autograph session I was able to quickly catch up with BP Jr. on his updated 2022 plans.
Billy Jr. had a brand new #15 Bicknell 2022x with a stunning red and yellow color combination at the show. This modified will certainly be a showpiece on any race track. Billy Jr. is planning to race on Friday Nights at Big Diamond frequently, But not every week. Billy Jr. was the Georgetown Speedway champion and he has definitely dominated at the track in the past few years with the Rick Holsten Bicknell #96. Billy has plans to run Big D as often as possible when not in conflict with Georgetown Speedway.
On Saturday Nights Billy Jr. just recently announced the decision to make Bridgeport Speedway his new Saturday Night home for racing. The potent Rick Holsten Bicknell #96 will be calling the high banks of Bridgeport Speedway their home track. Billy is looking forward to returning to Bridgeport to race with his father, Billy Pauch Sr. and return the Pauch name on that championship plaque. A new 2022x Bicknell Rick Holsten #96 Modified was also seen at the show.
You will find Billy Jr. at the Action Track USA weekly in 2022. Plans call for the Mike Heffner USAC Speedstr to be raced on weekly basis in 2022. Billy Jr. will also race the 600 wingless Micro Sprint during the season, But not on a weekly basis this season. The USAC East Coast 360 Sprints will make an appearance at Kutztown in 22’ and Billy will be behind the wheel of the Tim Hogue #39 Wingless 360 Sprint Car. The Im”POSSE”ible 410 Sprint Car Show is once again scheduled for 22’ and you may see Billy Jr. making an appearance again with a Heffner owned Sprint Car.
Billy is slated to race Tim Hogue’s 360 East Coast Wingless Sprint in several shows in 2022. Georgetown, Big Diamond, Bridgeport, and Kutztown all have shows where Tim and Billy Jr. can catch some action together. The Tim Hogue #39 has a long history of success and Billy Jr. is looking to build on that in 2022.
Friday at Big Diamond/Georgetown. Saturday trips to Bridgeport. During the week you will be able to find the Rick Holsten 96 team chasing the entire Brett Deyo Short Track Super Series South Region. This includes the Short Track Super Series 6 Race Elite Series. Billy mentioned that he plans to hit local Super Dirt Series events with a Big Block #15 if time, schedules and resources allow it. If the schedules allow, Billy would like to support the PA Tri Track Events at Big Diamond, Grandview and BAPS.
After a very successful run behind the wheel of the Jason Simmons Racing #98 TQ in Allentown, Billy Jr. will not be racing this weekend at Atlantic City for the Gambler’s Classic. Mandee Pauch and Mike Mahaney are getting married this weekend and Billy will not be available to race. The March TQ Race is scheduled against the Georgetown Opener, So this will be it for Billy Jr. in 2022 in regards to the Indoor Racing Championship events. Billy did indicate that he has had discussions about racing the TQ again next winter.
Billy Jr. shared that plans are in place for BP3 to begin some Quarter Midget racing in late 2022. Keep a watch for the next generation of the Pauch family to be steering a race car.
