Column By: TOM WENNER / RPW – OAKS, PA – Dave Adams & Adams Motorsports go hand and hand when you mention Bridgeport Motorsports Park. Dave has been member of the staff at Bridgeport for many years.
Dave is well known for his DA’s Auto Body located in Trevose, PA. He has been a successful driver and owner for years while settling into a marketing and leadership position at Bridgeport Speedway over the last several years.
When Doug Rose took over Bridgeport Speedway, Dave helped with marketing efforts at the track while looking to get back into the action while helping a racer in need.
Late in 2021, Dave picked up a fresh used 2019 Bicknell Dirt Modified chassis and he partnered with Crate Sportsman driver Brian Papiez. A Leindecker powered 602 Crate Engine was acquired and the team went racing late in the 2021 season.
The Papiez & Adams combination immediately jelled and success was quickly seen at the Bridgeport Speedway. Brian Papiez won the season ending November 602 Underdog crate 20, while finishing 2nd and 3rd in 2 other previous 602 Sportsman racing events at Bridgeport.
Over the winter the Adams Motorsports Team led by Dave Adams has completely refreshed their 2019 Bicknell. The potent Leindecker 602 Crate Sportsman engine has been freshened and the team is now ready to chase the Bridgeport Speedway 602 Sportsman Championship. The Adams-Papiez combo is looking to race 24 events in 2022.
A plan is in place to open the season racing at the Short Track Super Series 602 Sportsman event at Selinsgrove Speedway. The #37 Bicknell was one of the best looking cars at the Pioneer Pole Building Motorsports Show.
The deep Blue metal-flake paint was laid down by Dave Adams at the DA’s Auto Body Shop in Trevose. In talking with Dave at the show, He mentioned that this blue color is a 70’s GM Color and was similar to the Blue and Gold color combination that Billy Pauch Sr. used on his Tabloid Graphics #15 at Syracuse during Super Dirt Week in the late 90’s.
Dave’s DA’s Auto Body team painted that Pauch car and that car color combo gave them the idea for this version of the 22’ #37 Papiez machine. KB Lettering laid down an incredible gold leaf lettering job on the Adams Motorsports car.
The Adams Motorsports Team is well sponsored. Team Marketing Partners for the 2022 season are Dry-At-Last Waterproofing, J & S Electrical Contractors, FJM Enterprises, MR. Contractor, Weller’s Jeweler’s, DI Sandro Contractors Inc, and Precision Hydraulic & Oil
