Story By: TIM BALTZ / CAN-AM SPEEDWAY – LAFARGEVILLE, NY – Race nights at the Can Am Speedway are always family friendly and this weekend is the perfect night to load up the car and bring family and friends to the track for a night of great action for just $20 per car load.
The special admission price will take place this coming Friday on Safety Awareness night at the speedway, which will also feature a packed race cardl, with five divisions of racing action set for the evening.
Last week’s action saw Jordan Kelly stun the Whitesboro Plow Shop DIRTcar 358 Modified field, by scoring his first career win.
Josh Reome had not won a race in almost three years in the Bob Johnson Auto Group DIRTcar Sportsman division, as he took his first checkered flag of the season.
The FABCO DIRTcar Pro Stocks made their fourth appearance of the year and it was once again, Bruno Richard scoring his 3rd win of the season and his 12th overall feature win in 2022.
It had been since May when Josh Verne Jr. last went to victory lane in the Panther Frameworx 602 Crate Sprints. Verne dominated the 15 lap event and claimed his third win of the season.
Joe Orvis had been shutout of victory lane in the Marsha Gibbons TLC Real Estate Thundercar division since he won on opening day, May 6th. Orvis would keep his string of top three finishes going and extend his points lead, with his second feature win of the year.
Paul DeRuyter was in a bid for four consecutive wins in the Donath Motorworx Limited Sportsman, but had to settle for second as Keegan Nier ended a long winless drought, to claim his second win of 2022.
All of the nights action is brought to you by FABCO Building Components and Child Advocacy Center, along with Victims Assistance Center of Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence County. Representatives from CAC and VAC will be on hand with free youth bike helmets, plus Frosty’s Ice Cream and Number One Speed will be raffling off bikes and scooters for youth in attendance.
Lots will be happening and it’s just $20 per car load Friday night. Don’t have a car load? No need to worry as regular general admission prices will be honored also.
