Column By: BILLY HODGES / RPW – GREENFIELD, NY – Taylor Wason, driver of car 07W in the Limited Sportsman division in Upstate New York, will be moving up to the DIRTcar 358-Modified class at Glen Ridge Motorsports Park in 2023.
Wason will make the trip to the Fultonville, NY track throughout next season on Sunday nights.
This 17-year-old high school kid has already proven what it means to win. He’s been racing for 13 years. He spent a decade in the karting world before racing the last three in the Limited Sportsman class.
In 2022, Wason finished fifth in points at Albany-Saratoga Speedway with two victories, six top 5s and nine top 10s.
The plan for the Wason team is to be racing three nights a week this season. That is going to be a daunting task but
his crew and family are ready.
Fans will be able to see him on Friday nights at the Malta, NY oval in the Sportman division while on Saturday evenings he’ll be at the Fulton Speedway or other tracks. With no real plans for that night, Wason is looking to just get more seat time and will close out his weekends at Glen Ridge on Sunday’s with the 358-Modified.
Big things are on the horizon for young Taylor Wason and his team!
