
Story By: JUSTIN SNYDER / PORT ROYAL SPEEDWAY – PORT ROYAL, PA – This one is for the Limited Late Models! Zimmerman Truck Repair and Zimmerman Truck Lines Inc present the $3500-to-win Ron Zimmerman Tribute Race for the Dack’s Trucking Limited Late Models.
The event will also feature a $500 fast time award and $250-to-win heat races for the division courtesy of the presenting sponsors. This will be the first race for the division where the new tire will be required to compete. They’ll take part in time trials following warmups and the top two drivers from heats will redraw for feature starting lineup.
Also on the card will be the Weikert’s Livestock 410 Sprint Cars competing for $5000-to-win and the Selinsgrove Ford@ Super Late Models competing for $4000-to-win! As a bonus for the kids in attendance, there will be a Kids Money Scramble presented by Pennian Bank that will take place on the frontstretch!
Pit gates open at 4pm, GA gates open at 5pm, while Racing is scheduled to kick off at 7pm.

Most recently in Weikert’s Livestock 410 Sprint Car action, Logan Wagner scored his first win of the 2023 season over Devon Borden, Jeff Halligan, Mike Walter II, and Gerard McIntyre Jr.

Bryan Bernheisel was the last driver in Super Late Model competition to visit victory lane as he did so in early June. He bested Trever Feathers, Rick Eckert, Gregg Satterlee and Jeff Rine to earn his first career victory at the Speedway.
The late models will take part in group time trials against their heat to set lineups and the top two drivers will line up accordingly for the feature based on handicap.

Finally in Limited Late Model competition, it’s Trent Brenneman entering the weekend as the most recent winner with the division. The win was Brenneman’s fifth career triumph at the track, and he did so over Shawn Shoemaker, Devin Hart, Kenny Yoder and Jared Fulkroad.
