Story By: FULTON SPEEDWAY – FULTON, NY – The Modified field for this years’ Milton CAT Outlaw 200 already has several top-notch drivers qualified.
A series of qualifying races which guaranteed the winners (or runner up if winner had already earned a berth) were run throughout the 2023 season.
Nine drivers gained guaranteed spots.
Ryan Arbuthnot won at Brockville Speedway on May 27 to capture the first spot and the next day, at Glen Ridge Motorsports Park, Corey Cornier was the recipient of a 200 starting position.
During June two races were conducted with Mat Williamson winning the 358 Series race at Fulton and a week later at Can-Am Speedway Billy Dunn was the victor.
In July two qualifiers were expected to be held, but only one became a reality at Weedsport was rained out, but Tim Fuller, in his first ever visit to Thunder Mountain gained the qualifying spot with a dominating feature win.
Airborne Speedway held its Fulton qualifier on August 5 with Jessey Mueller coming away with the win.
A trio of qualifiers were held in September with Erick Rudolph winning at Ransomville Speedway, Felix Roy at Autodrome Drummond and Albany-Saratoga runner up Mike Mahaney rounded out the qualifiers.
Arbuthnot, Cormier, Williamson, Dunn, Fuller, Roy and Mahaney have all confirmed their attendance in this weekend’s $20,000-to-win event.
