Column By: NICK GRAZIANO / SUPER DIRTCAR SERIES – NEW EGYPT, NJ – The 2024 championship season for the Super DIRTcar Series begins at New Egypt Speedway on Saturday, March 30.
It’ll be the first time since 2014 the Series has visited the 7/16-mile facility – a race won by 10-time and defending champion Matt Sheppard.
Some drivers got a headstart to the 2024 season by visiting Volusia Speedway Park in early February for the Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals – dominated by last year’s top-two in points.
Sheppard won the opening night and the final night, while defending Super DIRT Week champion Mat Williamson won the second night and was consistent enough throughout the three races to win his second consecutive Big Gator championship.
They’ll be back at New Egypt to chase the 2024 Super DIRTcar Series title, along with Series stars like Jimmy Phelps, Tim Sears Jr., Anthony Perrego, Peter Britten, Justin Stone, Felix Roy, and many others.
They’ll also be joined by local stars, such as New Jersey’s Ryan Godown.
