Story By: DAN KAPUSCINSKI / WEEDSPORT SPEEDWAY – WEEDSPORT, NY – Hall of Fame Weekend continues this Saturday, July 28 with the Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modified Hall of Fame 100 as dirt racing stars Tim McCreadie and Billy Pauch Jr. join the Super DIRTcar Series cars and stars in search of $10,000.
The 2018 season has seen McCreadie continue to follow the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in his No. 39 machine, where he currently rides seventh in the national standings. In terms of Big Block racing, McCreadie has one Super DIRTcar Series start as he finished 8th in the Big Show at Albany-Saratoga Speedway on June 26.
McCreadie was on his game at Weedsport in 2017 with finishes of second and seventh in Super DIRTcar Series events as he hopes to continue that momentum this weekend.
Pauch Jr. has been busy this season with 44 starts and nine wins on the year across multiple divisions.
Pauch currently leads the point standings in the SpeedSTR and Micro divisions at the Action Track and sits second in points at New Egypt Speedway in the Modified division.
Like McCreadie, Pauch has one start on the Super DIRTcar Series tour this season with a ninth-place effort in the recent Battle on the Midway at Orange County Fair Speedway.
McCreadie and Pauch will join a host of other Modified standouts this Saturday including Super DIRTcar Series chasers Matt Sheppard, Erick Rudolph, Max McLaughlin, Jimmy Phelps, Danny Johnson, Brett Hearn, Peter Britten, Tim Fuller and Billy Decker.
Two full nights of racing on Hall of Fame Weekend will include the Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modified Hall of Fame 100 presented by Beam Mack Sales & Service and Page Trucking on Saturday, July 28 with the return of the Craftsman World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series on Sunday, July 29 presented by the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Northern New England.
The July 29 return of the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars will be the first visit for the series in well over a year, as both events at The Port last season were lost to rain.
The Spano Container Sportsman Shootout Series will contend on both nights with a $1,000 cash bonus available to the top three average finishers across both events from Beyea Custom Headers.
The party continues the evening of Saturday, July 28 as the Portside Party will provide LIVE entertainment following the Hall of Fame 100 featuring Syracuse rock band, REV presented by Bud Light.
