Story By: DAN KAPUSCINSKI MOTORSPORTS PROMOTIONS – OSWEGO, NY – Mike Babcock Racing not only made its first start on the all-new Slack Karts Pursuit Chassis with Chris Natoli on Sunday at Weedsport Kartway, but also posted stellar results across the board for its drivers.
MBR’s Pursuit Chassis immediately made its mark with Natoli behind the wheel, landing fifth quick in time trials for the $2,000 to win Clone Heavy Octoberfest A-Main on Sunday before driving to victory in the night’s Clone Heavy Prelim main, earning $200.
Starting from the fifth spot in the $2,000 to win special, Natoli quickly found the lead in his No. 33 MBR machine, before contact with the runner-up kart on the last lap knocked Natoli from first to fourth in the running order. Despite Natoli’s fall at the conclusion of the event, he finished an all Slack Karts Pursuit top four running order in the inaugural Octoberfest championship at Weedsport Kartway behind Jeff Chapman, Trent Curtis and Jon Keister.
Natoli was fast through the entire day as he finished second in the NYS Invitational, and charged from deep in the field to fifth in the $1,000 Clone Light Octoberfest A-Main.
While Natoli wheeled the all-new Pursuit Chassis, fellow MBR drivers Seth Whitney, Jamie Shutts and David Hackett Jt. were also in action on the Xpect Chassis, with similar results.
Shutts made a great drive in his No. 22 Xpect during the $1,000 to win Clone Light Octoberfest A-Main, running from 16th on the grid to fourth. After winning the Clone Heavy Octoberfest B-Main, Shutts was on a similar charge in the A-Main before being caught up in a front stretch accident in the early going.
Hackett not only took second in the Clone Light Prelim main, but drove to a sixth-place effort in the $1,000 Clone Light Octoberfest A-Main with his No. 82.
Whitney posted a pair of top five finishes in Jr. Unrestricted with his No. 505 Xpect, taking fourth in the Unrestricted Prelim main with a fine runner-up in the Unrestricted Octoberfest A-Main.

By visiting MBR on Facebook at www.facebook.com/MBRSpeedShop or calling (315) 591-3324, you can order the new Slack Pursuit chassis and put your team on the fast track to victory lane in 2019.
The all-new Slack Pursuit comes on the heels of the highly successful Slack Xpect, winner of countless main events and championships throughout the country, which debuted in 2014.
The Slack Pursuit promises to build on gains made with the Xpect, providing increased roll speed and overall grip, making for an even more effective and user-friendly kart, while utilizing the latest in tubing technology to provide prolonged chassis life.
A focal point in the design of the Slack Pursuit was continued development in front end geometry.
The newly engineered front-end geometry on the Slack Pursuit utilizes all-new Pursuit Precision spindles, which are 4-axis machined for superior rigidity and the ultimate in accuracy and consistency.
Moving toward the back of the go-kart, customers will notice that the Billet MCP brake system with steel braided lines is now a standard option, along with an innovative new floor pan built to enhance aerodynamics.
Above the floor pan sits a newly redesigned right-side seat placement for better right-side grip, making the chassis less tire dependent.
At the rear of the go-kart, ride height is now adjustable on both rear cassettes with the same tried and true triangle pill design as previous Slack models.
The Slack Pursuit will be stocked in satin black and will also be available in blue, red and gloss black.
The 2019 Slack Pursuit is currently available for $2,630 in its base model.
