Story By: DAN KAPUSCINSKI / WEEDSPORT SPEEDWAY – WEEDSPORT, NY – Modifieds will return to Weedsport Speedway on Sunday, June 9 alongside Tony Stewart’s All-Star Circuit of Champions 410 Sprint Car series in the A-Verdi Storage Containers All-Star Showcase, with a $500 bonus on the line for the highest finishing DIRTcar 358-Modified at the conclusion of 35-laps.
The overall payday for the second round of the Stirling Lubricants/Champion Racing Oil Modified Series will be $3,000 and it’s no secret that a hooked up 358-Modified could be in the running for Victory Hill.
Fulton Speedway regular, Todd Root, was the highest finishing 358-Modified in the Heroes Remembered 100 on Monday, May 27, making him the early favorite for the bonus pay this coming weekend.
Erick Rudolph currently leads the Stirling Lubricants/Champion Racing Oil Modified Series standings over Billy Decker, Stewart Friesen, Max McLaughlin and Larry Wight.
The overall series champion will receive a $2,000 check at the conclusion of the five-race series, which will see round three take place on Sunday, June 16 on the same card as the USAC National Sprint Car Series.
Pit gates will open at 4 p.m. on June 9 with grandstand gates opening at 5 p.m. and racing getting underway at 7 p.m.
Reserved seating is priced at $32, with FREE Fan Pit Pass Upgrades available through June 5.
General admission seating is $28, kids aged 11-17 are $12 with kids 10 and under, FREE.
Member pit admission is $32, non-member pit admission is $36.
Reserved camping is available for $30, general camping is $24.
