Story By: TIM BALTZ / CAN-AM SPEEDWAY – LAFARGEVILLE, NY – On May 20th, Tim Fuller rolled to victory in the Whitesboro Plow Shop DIRTcar 358 Modified division for his 2nd win in a row.
Fuller will be back this coming Friday night looking for a third straight victory, however several others will be looking to take down the defending champion, including opening day winner and 6 time track champion Billy Dunn.
The Bob Johnson Auto Group DIRTcar Sportsman has seen three different winners in the opening three races to start 2022. Two-time and defending track champion Tyler Corcoran kicked off the season with a win followed by Brian Hudson and a dominant performance recently, by Tyler Stevenson.
This week will see the return of the FABCO DIRTcar Pro Stocks and so far two drivers have found victory lane. Bruno Richard claimed the opening day checkered flag, while Tyler Bushey defended home turf, winning the DIRTcar Pro Stock Series opener on May 18th. Both will be heavy favorites to return to victory lane this coming Friday night.
Josh Verne Jr. had never won on dirt until he won his first feature of the season in the Panther Frameworx 602 Crate Sprint Car division. Verne put on an incredible come from behind victory over Logan Crisafulli to claim two in a row on May 20th. Verne will be back for a shot a victory this weekend.
Justin Pope may have missed the season opener of the Marsh Gibbons TLC Real Estate Thundercar division but he has made up for it with two wins in two tries. Pope fended off opening day winner Joe Orvis to score the victory.
Keegan Nier will be back in a competitive field of Donath Motorworx Limited Sportsman drivers at Can Am on Friday night. Nier became the third different winner this season, going to victory lane for the first time in his career.
Bob Johnson Auto Group will be on as title sponsor of the evening. Racing action begins at 7pm.
