Heist, Teats, Bieber, Ott & Harris Victorious During Another Five-Division Night At Linda’s

Story By: KASEY KREIDER / LINDA’S SPEEDWAY – JONESTOWN, PA – Race fans once again got their money’s worth on a fast-paced night of action at the Linda’s Speedway. Five divisions for just $5 of general grandstand admission provided exhilarating racing all throughout the course of the evening.

After driving from 19th to second one week ago, Brandon Heist completed his run to victory lane with a charge from 10th to win the Mt. Gretna Roller Rink 270 Micro Sprint feature. Heist got to the runner-up spot again quickly and hounded Darren Miller throughout the middle portion of the race. When Miller pulled off with an issue with about 10 laps to go, Heist inherited the lead and held off Brayden Spencer to grab the checkered flag.

The Stolz Stove Sales Winged 600 Micro Sprints saw a first-time winner, as Trevor Teats held off Ben Stolz and Holden Eckman through a number of restarts to claim his first win at the Jonestown quarter-mile.

A dominant performance was turned in by Brett Bieber in the Hoffer Paving All Star Slingshots. Bieber won his heat race, redrew the pole position for the feature and led all 20 laps en route to his second win of the week and his second at Linda’s in 2023.

After coming close in the first three Bernheisel Race Components Charger features, Jeremy Ott finally had lady luck on his side and broke through for his first win in the division in 2023. Ott started from the pole and led the entirety of a 15-lap race that ran mostly green as battles for position waged on behind him.

As the final feature of the night on a dry-slick race track, Kenny Harris feathered his No. 17K on the bottom line to perfection to grab the victory of a shortened Mike’s Towing and Recovery Modified A-Main. Harris inherited the lead when early race leader Steve McLaughlin spun in front of the field, and then held off last week’s winner Richie Hitzler to grab the win in a race that ended three laps short of the scheduled finish due to being over the time limit.

Action returns to Linda’s Speedway on Friday, May 26th, as the Bernheisel Race Components Chargers and Appalachian Auto Front Wheel Drive division compete in the Jonestown Throwdown event, pitting the two divisions against one another in a can’t-miss race. The Mt. Gretna Roller Rink 270 Micro Sprints return for their second time trial series event of the year, and joining them on the card will be the Linda’s Speedway season-opener for the Xcel 600 Modified Tour and another event for the Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic Wingless 600 Micro Sprints.
